
World Defense Show 2026 Sets New Benchmarks for Global Defense Engagement
DBDC International Defence Publications & Events participated in World Defense Show (WDS) 2026, distributing its international defence publications EUROATLANTIC DEFENCE NEWS, AFRICAN SECURITY, and GREEK DEFENCE NEWS, while reporting on the latest innovations and advanced weapons systems presented by participating companies.
World Defense Show 2026 concluded in Riyadh after five days of record-breaking international participation, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a global hub for defense cooperation and industrial development. Held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the biennial exhibition was founded by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) and closely aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The third edition welcomed 1,486 exhibitors from 89 countries, alongside 513 official delegations from 121 nations and 137,000 visitors. Over the course of the show, 60 defense and military agreements were announced, with a total value of approximately SAR 33 billion, highlighting the Kingdom’s expanding role in defense partnerships, investment, and technology transfer. The exhibition spanned 272,500 square meters, representing a 58% increase compared to its inaugural edition, across four fully booked exhibition halls.
WDS 2026 featured 355 live demonstrations, more than 700 static military assets, and extensive showcases across air, land, sea, space, and security domains. All of the world’s top 10 defense companies participated, underlining strong international confidence in the event.
With more than 1,450 accredited journalists covering the show, World Defense Show 2026 confirmed its status as one of the world’s leading defense exhibitions, as preparations begin for the 2028 edition.
