During Eurosatory 2026, one of the world’s leading defence and security exhibitions, Turkish defence technology company HAVELSAN signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Belgian technology company EURAMEC, further expanding its international cooperation network and strengthening its presence within the European defence sector.
The agreement was signed on the second day of the exhibition at the HAVELSAN stand in the presence of HAVELSAN President and CEO Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar. The signing ceremony was attended by Belgian Minister of Defence Theo Francken, members of the Belgian official delegation, and Gökhan Uçar, Vice President of Aviation Systems at the Turkish Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB).
The Memorandum of Understanding established a framework for exploring future cooperation opportunities in simulation and training systems, as well as broader defence technologies. Through the partnership, HAVELSAN and EURAMEC aimed to combine their expertise and technological capabilities to support the development of advanced solutions for defence and security applications.
The agreement was expected to reinforce HAVELSAN’s position within the European defence ecosystem while strengthening industrial ties with Belgian defence and technology organizations. It also highlighted the increasing importance of international collaboration in addressing emerging security challenges and advancing next-generation training and simulation capabilities.
The cooperation came at a time when defence organizations were placing greater emphasis on interoperability, mission management, and multi-domain operations. Modern military environments involved an unprecedented volume of sensors, platforms, and information sources, making the effective integration of data and rapid decision-making critical operational requirements.
At Eurosatory 2026, HAVELSAN showcased a broad portfolio of capabilities, including command and control systems, combat management solutions, mission management technologies, Tactical Data Links, simulation and training systems, artificial intelligence applications, and autonomous platforms. These technologies were designed to help military users create a common operational picture and improve coordination across land, naval, air, and joint operational environments.
Artificial intelligence and autonomous systems were becoming increasingly important components of modern defence architectures. HAVELSAN viewed these technologies as tools that supported operators and decision-makers by helping them process complex information, enhance situational awareness, and respond more effectively to evolving operational scenarios.
Throughout Eurosatory 2026, HAVELSAN engaged with military users, industry representatives, and business partners to discuss current operational requirements and future capability needs. The exhibition provided an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships, establish new relationships, and exchange perspectives on the evolution of defence technologies in increasingly connected operational environments.
Visitors were able to meet the HAVELSAN team at Hall 5A, Stand E390 to learn more about the company’s capabilities in command and control, combat management, mission management, Tactical Data Links, artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and simulation technologies.
HAVELSAN also continued to expand its global presence through strategic partnerships, highlighting its commitment to innovation across defence technologies, simulation and training systems, autonomous unmanned platforms, information and communication technologies, and cybersecurity.
