Paramount Industries Innovation Systems Greece (Paramount Greece) and Ukrainian defence technology company MAC HUB have announced a major expansion of their strategic partnership, extending cooperation beyond armoured vehicle development to include advanced counter-drone and unmanned maritime technologies. The announcement was made during the Eurosatory Defence and Security Exhibition in Paris, one of the world’s leading defence industry events.
The expanded agreement focuses on the joint development, industrialisation, and international promotion of two innovative Ukrainian defence systems: the MAC Dead Fly Interceptor Drone and the KATRAN Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). Both systems were showcased internationally for the first time as part of Paramount’s exhibition at Eurosatory, highlighting the growing influence of battlefield-tested technologies developed in response to modern warfare challenges.
The partnership builds on the successful collaboration between the two companies that led to the development of the MAC OWL (Sova) armoured vehicle. The vehicle received certification from Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence and was recognised as one of the most highly protected locally produced armoured vehicles in the country. This achievement laid the foundation for broader cooperation in emerging defence technology sectors.
Under the new agreement, Paramount Greece and MAC HUB will work together to explore international market opportunities for the Dead Fly and KATRAN platforms across Europe and Africa. The companies will also evaluate the development of new variants and mission configurations while assessing opportunities for localised production and assembly using Paramount’s portable production model. This approach enables advanced technologies to be manufactured and sustained within customer countries, strengthening local industrial capabilities and enhancing defence self-reliance.
The MAC Dead Fly Interceptor Drone addresses one of the most pressing challenges facing armed forces today: defending against hostile unmanned aerial systems. Designed to counter the growing threat posed by FPV and tactical drones, the system offers a highly agile and cost-effective solution capable of intercepting airborne threats before they reach critical targets.
Meanwhile, the KATRAN Unmanned Surface Vessel represents a new generation of autonomous maritime capability. Developed using operational lessons from the Black Sea conflict, the vessel is designed for surveillance, reconnaissance, force protection, and asymmetric naval operations in contested coastal and littoral environments. Its flexibility and autonomous features make it an attractive solution for navies seeking affordable and adaptable maritime security platforms.
Company representatives emphasized that the expanded cooperation reflects a shared commitment to transforming battlefield innovation into globally relevant defence capabilities. Both organisations highlighted the importance of technology sharing, industrial cooperation, and continuous product evolution to meet future operational requirements.
The agreement also demonstrates the growing maturity of Ukraine’s defence technology sector, which has rapidly evolved through the demands of modern conflict. By combining Ukrainian innovation with Paramount Greece’s industrial expertise and international reach, the partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of advanced defence solutions to customers worldwide.
As security challenges continue to evolve across Europe, Africa, and beyond, the expanded Paramount Greece–MAC HUB partnership underscores the increasing importance of international defence cooperation in delivering innovative, combat-proven technologies for the armed forces of the future.
