AFRIDEX 2026 to Showcase the Future of Land Defence, Tactical Mobility and Battlefield Capability Development Across Africa

AFRIDEX 2026 is set to bring together a distinguished international line-up of defence manufacturers, military technology providers, indigenous industry leaders and government stakeholders as African armed forces continue to accelerate investment in land defence modernisation and battlefield capability development.

Taking place from 26–29 October 2026 at Eko Atlantic, Lagos, the Africa International Defence Exhibition (AFRIDEX) will serve as a premier platform for international defence cooperation, capability development and strategic engagement, bringing together government decision-makers, senior military leaders, procurement officials, prime contractors and technology providers from across the global defence and security community.

The exhibition comes at a time of increasing investment in battlefield digitisation, ISR integration, tactical mobility, autonomous systems, counter-IED capabilities and indigenous defence manufacturing as African nations respond to evolving operational requirements and regional security challenges.

A growing number of leading international defence companies have confirmed their participation, underlining Africa’s increasing importance as a strategic defence market.

Among the confirmed exhibitors is ARQUUS (France), which will showcase its renowned family of protected tactical vehicles, including the SHERPA, BASTION, VLRA and FORTRESS platforms designed for troop transport, reconnaissance, logistics, command-and-control and special operations.

Türkiye’s leading defence electronics company ASELSAN will present advanced defence technologies including AESA radar systems, secure military communications, electro-optics, electronic warfare solutions and AI-enabled command-and-control capabilities supporting integrated land operations.

Barzan Holdings (Qatar) will highlight its capabilities in defence modernisation, ISR systems, autonomous technologies and international industrial cooperation programmes.

Italian security technology specialist CEIA will exhibit advanced explosive detection systems, counter-IED equipment, demining technologies and tactical screening solutions widely employed by military engineers, EOD units and border security organisations.

Türkiye’s HAVELSAN will showcase its advanced command-and-control systems, military simulation platforms, cyber defence technologies and digital battlefield integration solutions supporting modern military operations.

Bulgarian defence company Jotov & Son will display artillery systems, logistics support solutions and modernisation programmes for both NATO-standard and Soviet-origin military platforms.

Sweden’s MilDef will present rugged military computing systems, tactical networking infrastructure, battlefield electronics and secure communications technologies developed for demanding operational environments.

Force protection solutions will also feature prominently, with Miilux exhibiting ballistic armour steel and survivability solutions designed for armoured vehicles, naval platforms and critical infrastructure.

Türkiye’s state-owned defence manufacturer MKE will showcase its extensive portfolio of land warfare systems, including small arms, artillery, ammunition, rockets, grenades, explosives and precision-guided weapon systems.

Major Chinese defence manufacturers NORINCO and Poly Technologies are also confirmed to participate, presenting armoured vehicles, artillery systems, missile technologies, UAVs and integrated battlefield solutions supplied to military customers worldwide.

AFRIDEX 2026 will provide an important platform for Africa’s expanding indigenous defence industry.

Nigeria’s Proforce Limited will exhibit its internationally recognised armoured vehicle portfolio, while Rovin Guard will present locally developed ammunition, unmanned systems and integrated defence technologies.

Resource Industries (UAE) will showcase ISR capabilities, unmanned systems, surveillance technologies and tactical communications solutions supporting enhanced battlefield awareness.

Additional Nigerian exhibitors include Solyd Nigeria Limited, specialising in AI-enabled drones, surveillance systems and homeland security technologies; Unicorn Group, focused on integrated surveillance and secure communications; RusselSmith Nigeria Limited, highlighting advanced engineering, additive manufacturing and military sustainment capabilities; and RunFlat Tire Systems, presenting vehicle survivability solutions designed to enhance tactical mobility in combat environments.

The exhibition will also feature the participation of Türkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), which oversees the country’s indigenous defence programmes, procurement strategy, defence research and export development.

As African governments continue investing in military modernisation, border security, counterterrorism capabilities and sovereign defence industrial capacity, AFRIDEX 2026 is expected to play an increasingly important role in facilitating international cooperation and technology transfer.

By bringing together defence ministries, armed forces, manufacturers, technology developers and industry leaders, AFRIDEX 2026 will provide a comprehensive platform for showcasing next-generation defence technologies, strengthening strategic partnerships and supporting the future development of Africa’s defence and security sector.
