Allen-Vanguard has announced the award of new contracts valued at more than US$3 million to support force protection requirements across Africa. According to Colin Kell, speaking to Chamois, the contracts build on the company’s long-standing experience in delivering advanced force protection solutions for peacekeeping missions throughout the continent.

The latest awards further reinforce Allen-Vanguard’s established presence in the African defence and security market while highlighting the continued demand for integrated electronic protection capabilities designed to counter evolving battlefield threats.

Allen-Vanguard is internationally recognised as a specialist in defeating Radio Frequency (RF)-based terrorist and extremist threats, including the persistent danger posed by Radio Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIEDs) and the rapidly growing use of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) by both state and non-state actors. The company’s Electronic Countermeasure (ECM) solutions are trusted by armed forces, law enforcement agencies, public safety organisations and security services worldwide to protect personnel, critical infrastructure and high-value assets.

A key differentiator of Allen-Vanguard’s offering is its comprehensive through-life support model. Beyond supplying advanced protection systems, the company provides operational analysis, specialist training, technical advice and continuous field support through experienced Field Service Representatives. Many of these experts have operational backgrounds in military combat theatres, law enforcement and intelligence, enabling customers to maximise system effectiveness while adapting to evolving operational environments.

Allen-Vanguard’s operationally proven capabilities are developed in close cooperation with end users and are designed to remain adaptable to the constantly evolving RF threat spectrum. This “ever-greening” approach ensures that its Electronic Countermeasure systems continue to provide effective protection against emerging threats while supporting future Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) operations.

As African armed forces and peace support missions continue to modernise their force protection capabilities in response to increasingly sophisticated asymmetric threats, the company’s latest contracts demonstrate the growing importance of integrated electronic warfare and counter-UAS technologies in enhancing operational effectiveness and safeguarding personnel across the continent.
