ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defence company and Europe’s fifth most valuable defence firm by market capitalization, welcomed the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, to its headquarters and production facilities in Ankara.

The Polish President was accompanied by Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries, and ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol. During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on ASELSAN’s latest defence technologies, with particular emphasis on electronic warfare systems, integrated air defence solutions, ongoing collaborative programmes and the company’s large-scale serial production capabilities.

The discussions also focused on the evolving security environment and the increasing importance of advanced defence technologies in strengthening the operational capabilities of NATO allies.

As part of the visit, President Nawrocki toured ASELSAN’s manufacturing facilities, gaining first-hand insight into the company’s advanced production infrastructure, high-volume manufacturing capacity and technology-driven industrial processes. The visit showcased ASELSAN’s ability to deliver interoperable, scalable and combat-proven systems fully compatible with NATO requirements while highlighting the company’s decades of experience in the defence industry.

ASELSAN’s defence cooperation with Poland has gained significant momentum following the signing of a major export agreement in December 2025 for the supply of electronic warfare systems. Valued at approximately US$410 million, the contract underscores Poland’s confidence in ASELSAN’s advanced technologies and its capability to meet the operational requirements of allied armed forces.

During the visit, President Nawrocki described Türkiye as one of NATO’s strongest military powers and underlined the strategic importance of industrial cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized that defence collaboration between Türkiye and Poland is indispensable, noting that the two nations have remained close strategic partners for decades.

Commenting on the visit, ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol said:

“It was an honour to present to President Nawrocki our advanced technologies developed for the requirements of the modern battlefield, as well as potential opportunities for future cooperation. As ASELSAN, we will continue to deliver trusted technologies to friendly and allied nations while strengthening our presence in international markets.”
